About Alli

Hello! I'm an artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. From my littlest days, I've always felt most at home with a pencil or paintbrush in my hand, and my heart's desire was to be an artist when I grew up. Joyfully, I now have the honor of using my creativity to support people doing beautiful and redemptive work in the world. In addition to freelancing as an illustrator, I'm creative director for Renaissance Church in Providence and art director of PeaceLove, a non-profit improving mental health through expressive arts. 

My work often combines fabric and thread with drawing and painting to create simple and striking images. I love taking a simple idea and finding a way to infuse some unexpected texture or details. I like creating a world where things are soft and bright, and there is always something good to be found. I don't want to pretend that there's nothing bad in the world, but when there's sadness or pain, I would try to show it in a way that the viewer feels hope.
