Not a lot of my own projects to show lately- I've been spending most of my time applying for jobs and working on some freelance design jobs. It's good to be busy, though!

Hymn sketch
Hello, friends! It's been a day of tedious HTML work so I'm taking a breather to post this collage I made the other day. I'm in the exciting, stretching time of conceptualizing this new design project, so I get to make fun searching lines like this for a little while.
4 1/4" by 5 3/4" on plywood, old bits of sheet music and other found papers.
Floral tuxedos
I made this collage for last year's "Art For Food" auction in Providence, and it was bought by a couple who used it as inspiration for their baby's nursery decor. (Apologies for the blurry photo. I didn't get a chance to scan it or anything.)
The photo that I used for the penguin reference made me smile- it looked like three guys in penguin suits taking a casual stroll.

Embroidered, transparent.
Embroidery is an obsession of mine that seems to be keeping a pretty firm grasp. I delight in thread and all its possibilities! This series of four was created last fall. When I was photographing them today, I forgot to take a shot of how they looked all stacked on each other, which is sort of the point... silly me. I'll have to do that soon.
